Angela Elwell Hunt

    With over three million copies of her books sold worldwide, Angela Hunt is the best-selling author of THE TALE OF THREE TREES, THE DEBT, and THE NOTE. Hunt began her writing career in 1983. After five years of honing her craft and writing for magazines, she published her first book in 1988. Since then, she has written over one hundred books in fiction and nonfiction, for children and adults. Eight of her novels have won Angel Awards from Excellence in Media. Hunt has also won three silver medals from ForeWord Magazine’s book of the year award (for THE JUSTICE, THE CANOPY and UNSPOKEN), and a Christy Award for BY DAWN’S EARLY LIGHT. Two of her novels have been optioned for film by Journey Productions (The Note) and Columbia/TriStar (The Immortal).

Nancy Rue and Angela Hunt, affectionately known as "Nangie," combine their skills to cover everything you want and need to know about writing novels. Whether you're just starting out or you have several novels under your belt, this class will help you with plotting, self-editing, characterization, and helping your manuscript rise above the slush pile. Plus, it's fun! You never know what Nangie will do next. Other covered topics include: novels and genre, perfecting your pitch, seamless flashbacks and recollections, deepening your characters, style and voice, mastering point of view, sophisticated self-editing, and weaving in a spiritual message. Because this class is fast paced and intensive, we ask that you not schedule appointments during class hours. And come prepared to write!
