Cheri Cowell

Cheri Cowell, an accomplished speaker and author with more than 250 articles in such magazines as Marriage Partnership and the Lookout, draws upon nearly 22 years in both professional and lay Christian ministry and her current studies at Asbury Theological Seminary to address the unspoken questions of faith. Her book, Direction: Discernment for the Decisions of Your Life (Beacon Hill, Nov. 2007), is being hailed as “a biblically sound, no-nonsense approach to making God-centered life choices.” In her second book, Making the Story Real, Cheri weaves a fictional story with non-fiction applicational principles to bring a fresh vision to how and what the church might become if it is willing to learn a new faith-language—the language of Story.

Teaches

Queries: How to write them, use them, and be more productive with them

Come learn how query templates are the writer’s key to multiplying your efforts, what makes yours a stand out from other queries, and how to avoid those things that scream “amateur.”

One Stormy Night…Happily Ever After

Learn how to write beginnings that will grab the reader from the very first line, use transitions that will carry your reader through every point, and still end with a wiz-bang punch and not simply a period. The handouts alone make this class a must-take.
