Crystal Bowman

    Crystal Bowman has written over 60 books for kids. Her books come in all shapes and sizes and many of them have become best sellers. Whether her stories are written in playful rhythm and rhyme, or short sentences for beginning readers, she tries to make them so enjoyable that kids will want to read them over and over again. She also writes lyrics for children’s piano music, magazine articles, teacher resource materials, and devotional books. But what she enjoys most is teaching kids about God and how he wants us to live. Crystal is a national speaker and has been a guest on numerous Christian radio programs as well as local television programs. She lives in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida where she loves to go for walks on the beach.

Teaches

From baby books and picture books to beginning readers and chapter books, this session will cover the many different genres within children’s literature and how to write for specific age groups. Promoting Your Children’s Book – Getting a children’s book published is the end of one process, but the beginning of another. As an author you must actively market your book in order for it to survive. Learn ways that you can promote your work in the local market as well as the national market without having to travel across the country.
